I am deeply fascinated by the ordinary. The unposed. The details of everyday moments. I am intrigued by people, their faces, lived life.
I portray people through their belongings and the spaces in which they live or lived. I seek to recall and interact with my own sensation of being in these places, in the moments before they disappear.
To me it is a gift to be able to be present in peoples lives, and share some moments of time.
Belonging, longing. Grief, loss. Endurance, simplicity, authenticity. Memory, absence, transition, stop. These are key words for me. I want to make the invisible visible. To treasure the underexposed.
I like to challenge the concept of entitlement. I interact with people and places that seek neither privilege nor permission.
When you strip away the unnecessary: What is the core of existence?
